Job description

Job Title: Home Care Support Worker

Catholic Homes is seeking Home Care Support Workers to join our home care team on a casual basis with a view of permanency. This position involves providing in-home personal care, domestic assistance, social support, transport, and daily living supports for our clients. We are recruiting for the areas of Fremantle, Cockburn, Coogee, and Rockingham.

Our Home Care team aims to build strong, lasting relationships with clients to help them stay at home longer and engage in community activities.

To be successful in this role, you will have or be:

1. A roadworthy and registered vehicle and a current driver's license.
2. Experience in Community Aged Care or a minimum of Cert III in aged care.
3. Availability from 7 am to 7 pm, Monday to Friday, with some weekend work.
4. The ability to demonstrate empathy and a caring nature towards elderly clients.
5. Reliability, flexibility, and dedication to high standards of work.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Pride in your work and appearance, with a person-centered care approach.
8. Fluency in Portuguese, Italian, and/or English is preferred.
