Job summary

Personal Touch Home Care, New York, NY, seeks a compassionate Speech Language Pathologist (SLP/ST) for home-based care on a 1099, fee-for-service basis. Must hold an active NY license; compensation is $100 per visit.

You will assess and treat speech, language, and communication disorders, develop individualized plans, and collaborate with a care team to support patients at home. This role offers flexible scheduling across a mix of pediatric and gero- populations.

Qualifications

• Must graduate from an accredited Speech Therapist college or university.
• Must have a valid NY license and registration.
• Experience with long-term care and/or geriatric care is preferred.
• Demonstrates good verbal and written communication and organization skills.
• Prefer two (2) years of appropriate experience as an occupational therapist; home health experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech and language abilities.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs.
• Provide therapy to individuals of all ages, addressing issues such as articulation, fluency, voice, and language.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care.
• Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
• Educate patients and their families about communication strategies and home exercises.
• Stay current with best practices and advancements in speech therapy.
