Zusammenfassung

Durham County Council is recruiting Home Support Workers for Hawthorn House to deliver compassionate care to people with complex learning disabilities and autism. You will work a rota across days, evenings, nights and weekends, with enhancements for non-day shifts, and you'll receive induction in Positive Behaviour Support and moving and handling.

A DBS check is required. Join a supportive team within a CQC Outstanding service, with opportunities for training and development and hybrid working

Qualifikationen

• Experience in care with people with learning disabilities or challenging behaviours.
• Care qualification or willingness to achieve the Care Certificate within timescale.
• DBS Enhanced Disclosure required.

Aufgaben

• Provide specialist care interventions using Positive Behaviour Support and other therapeutic approaches.
• Assist with administering medication and moving and handling as part of care duties.
• Build positive relationships with service users and colleagues across shifts and rota.
