Job summary

The Appalachian Agency for Senior Citizens is looking for competent Personal Care Aides (PCAs) to provide essential home care services across various counties in Virginia. Responsibilities include assisting clients with daily activities such as hygiene and meals, while ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.

Candidates must possess a 40-Hour PCA certificate or be a licensed CNA, have reliable transportation, and be able to lift up to 40 lbs. A compassionate approach and effective communication are essential for this fulfilling role.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• Valid Social Security number and driver's license.
• Physically capable of performing required tasks.
• Must pass drug screen and criminal background check.
• Preferably 1 year of experience in personal care.

Responsibilities

• Assist elderly and disabled clients with hygiene, meals, laundry, and grocery shopping.
• Report changes in clients' conditions and needs.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
