Job summary

Maxim Healthcare of Richmond, VA, is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide in-home nursing care for pediatric and/or adult patients in their homes. Starting pay range is $28-$33 per hour, negotiable based on experience and skill level.

Responsibilities include applying the nursing process, initiating and revising the plan of care as directed, administering medications and treatments, and coordinating education, care, and discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Current LPN license for the state of practice.
• Current Health Certificate as required by facility or state regulation.
• Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Uses the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care as contracted.
• Initiates and revises the plan of care as directed by prescriber.
• Applies therapeutic, preventive, and rehabilitative nursing actions per diagnosis and goals.
• Responds to changes in patient status and reports to physician or supervisor.
• Administers medications and treatments and documents effectiveness.
• Reviews plan of care and coordinates teaching, care, and discharge planning.
