Job summary

Interim HealthCare is seeking a full-time Home Care Aide for a float position serving clients across our service area in St. Louis and Jefferson Counties.

You will work flexible day, evening, and overnight shifts, with weekend on-call coverage twice per month. This role supports clients with personal care, mobility, meals, light housekeeping, and companionship, following each care plan and documenting visits.

Qualifications

• Hands-on home care experience.
• Reliable transportation to travel between assignments.
• Good communication and a caring attitude.
• Willingness to adapt to varied schedules and client needs.

Responsibilities

• Fill open shifts, cover caregiver absences, and start services for new clients.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and incontinence care.
• Provide mobility, transfer, and repositioning support as trained.
• Support clients with dementia, limited mobility, and other complex needs.
• Prepare meals, assist with eating, light housekeeping, laundry, and companionship.
• Follow care plans and operate within training/authorised responsibilities.
• Communicate changes in client condition, safety concerns, and scheduling needs.
• Accurately complete visit documentation and clock in/out via AxisCare.
• Collaborate with the care team to provide dependable, consistent care.
