Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health At Home in Eatontown, NJ is seeking a registered nurse to deliver compassionate, in-home care with a focus on one-to-one patient time in a calm, familiar setting. This role offers a flexible schedule, supportive team, and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• RN license with current NJ licensure.
• Minimum 1 year RN experience; home health experience preferred.
• Ability/experience inserting IVs and managing vascular access.
• Willingness to complete a VAD course or follow-up practicum as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 in-home nursing care for patients in a home setting.
• Perform IV insertions and manage vascular access as needed.
• Document care and communicate with the care team using Google Suite or MS Office.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• Associate's Degree in Nursing or Diploma Certificate in Nursing.
• Minimum of one (1) or more years of RN Experience.
• Ability/Experience with Inserting IVs.
• Competency Requirements:
  • With previous and recent IV experience (preferred) within one (1) year: Demonstration with preceptor inserting peripheral line, accessing ports, PICCs and central lines. Or
  • Without previous experience or experience not within one (1) year: Will complete a vascular access device (VAD) course through HMH and follow up practicum experience in HMH outpatient infusion setting and return demonstration with preceptor inserting peripheral line, accessing ports, PICCs and central lines.
• Successful Completion of Infusion Test within probationary period with grade of 80% or higher.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Google Suite and/or Microsoft Office platforms.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree (BSN).

Licenses and Certifications Required:

• NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License.
• BLS AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification.
