Job Summary:

We are seeking a Home Care Assistant to join our team in Mattawan, MI. As a Home care assistant , you will play a key role in providing high-quality care for elderly and disabled clients in their homes. Key Responsibilities:

• Assist clients with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, grooming, etc.).
• Provide companionship and emotional support, fostering meaningful relationships.
• Help with mobility assistance, including transferring clients with Hoyer lifts and other devices.
• Medication reminders and monitor client health.
• Light housekeeping duties, including meal preparation, cleaning, and laundry.
• Transport clients to appointments, errands, and social activities (must have a reliable vehicle).
• Record and report any changes in the client’s condition to family or healthcare professionals.
• Follow the care plan and document daily activities and observations.

Requirements:

• Must be 20 years or older.
• 1+ year of caregiving experience.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (must have your own vehicle).
• Hoyer lift trained or willing to be trained.
• Compassionate, patient, and dependable.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow care plans.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in senior care or working with individuals with disabilities.
• CPR/First Aid certified.
• Experience with personal care and mobility assistance.
