What does a Home Care Aide do?

• Traveling to clients’ homes to provide hands-on assistance with activities such as bathing, showering, dressing, grooming, ambulation, transferring, bed-making, minor treatments, and incontinency care.
• Assist with meal preparation and housekeeping and answer client calls promptly.
• Provide companionship and assist clients with daily living activities such as distributing newspapers, writing letters, placing phone calls, etc.
• Ensure that the dignity of all clients is preserved.
• Report any changes in resident’s physical or behavioral conditions to Home Care Administrator.
• Enhance home care department by working together as a team to accept ownership for tasks while exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

What are the requirements to be a Home Care Aide at the Rouse?

• Must be at least 18 years of age and have a minimum of a 10th grade education.
• Must possess a valid PA driver’s license.
• Must be willing and able to pass drug/alcohol screening and complete physical.
