Job summary

CareBuilders at Home is hiring a Caregiver / Home Care Aide in the Torrance area to provide quality non-medical care, companionship, and support with daily living activities.

Applicants must have HCA Registry and a driver's license, be able to lift up to 50 pounds, pass a background check, and will have in-person interviews at our Seal Beach office. We offer competitive wages, benefits, and a 401(k) with employer match.

Responsibilities

• Assist client with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, and dressing. Provide joyful companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Help with light housekeeping tasks, such as meal preparation, laundry, and tidying up.
• Drive clients to appointments, errands, walks, nature outings, and social outings.
• Monitor and report clients’ daily activities and changes in clients' health or behavior.
• Maintain a safe and comfortable environment for clients.

IMMEDIATE SHIFTS AVAILABLE! Please apply only if you are current on the HCA Registry and have a driver's license. Must be polite, respectful, and conversational in Japanese to communicate effectively with client.

Requirements:

• Ability to perform essential job duties, which may include lifting up to 50 pounds, standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing stairs, and assisting clients with mobility.
• Able to speak, read, and write English and communicate effectively with the office team members.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be current on the California Home Care Aide Registry.
• Active driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Tuberculosis (TB) test required prior to working with clients (within previous 90 days or within 7 days of hiring or within 2 years is coming from another home care agency).
