Job summary

Addus HomeCare in Harriman, TN is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP). Earn up to $15.68 per hour as you learn the fundamentals of quality home care and provide life-changing support to seniors and people with disabilities living independently.

This entry-level role offers flexible hours and opportunities to grow with a leading, value-driven organization. You will follow care plans, assist with personal care, light housekeeping, transportation, and help with medication

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• In-home care experience preferred.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Reliable transportation with valid driver's license and proof of insurance.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Good communication skills.
• Reliable, energetic, self-motivated, and well-organized.
• Comfortable using an electronic device.

Responsibilities

• Follow a care plan for the member and report on completed tasks.
• Assist people with personal care (bathing, dressing, etc.)
• Support routine house cleaning, laundry, and assist with meal preparation.
• Transport members to appointments, daily errands, and other locations as necessary.
• Assist member with the self-administration of medications (no administering or measuring)
• Observe and report any changes in member's condition.
