Job summary

Interim HealthCare is seeking Home Care Aide / Caregiver to provide personal care and companionship to seniors in a home setting in California. You will assist with grooming, bathing, meal prep, light housekeeping, and transportation, while maintaining a warm, respectful demeanor.

Role offers a daytime schedule, flexible hours, and opportunity to build skills through online training and CEUs. Health benefits available after meeting minimum hours, with weekly pay and direct deposit.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required or preferred.
• Healthcare experience of six months is preferred but not mandatory.
• CPR certification is preferred and our office can aid.
• Clear background check and drug screen; we cover the cost.
• Valid CA driver’s license, auto insurance and transportation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Attend to the individual needs of clients including grooming, bathing, feeding, toileting, transferring, ambulation and companionship.
• Perform homemaking duties such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, and transportation.
• Interact with clients in a warm, caring manner to promote a positive environment.
• Communicate effectively with clients’ visitors and families.

Education

CPR certification

Job Responsibilities:

• Attend to the individual needs of clients which may include: Assistance with grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, incontinent care, toileting, transferring, ambulation, range of motion, and companionship.
• Perform homemaking activities which may include:Meal preparation, light housekeeping, transportation.
• Interact with client in a manner that displays warmth and promotes a caring environment.
• Communicate and interact effectively and tactfully with the client's visitors and families.

A few must-haves for Personal Care Aides/Caregivers:

• High school diploma (or equivalent)
• Six (6) months of experience in a healthcare role, preferred
• CPR certification; our office can aid
• Clear Background Check & Drug Screen *We cover the cost
• Valid CA driver’s license, auto insurance and transportation, preferred
• Compassionate and helping nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
