Job summary

Caring Hands Homecare in New Jersey is seeking a Home Care Aide to support patients in their homes through one-on-one care plans. You will be compassionate, detail-oriented, and organized, building relationships while delivering personalized care and communicating care needs to supervisors.

Experience in Home Health or Hospice is a plus; strong verbal and written communication is essential, and a NJ Home Health Aide program completion is expected.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited New Jersey Home Health Aide program.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• One year prior professional experience.
• Driver’s license preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily activities such as moving in and out of beds, baths, wheelchairs, or automobiles.
• Care for patients by changing bed linens, doing laundry, cleaning the home, or assisting with personal care.
• Maintain records of patient care, condition, progress, or problems to report and discuss observations with the supervisor.
• Build relationships with patients by conversing or reading aloud to help keep them mentally healthy and alert.
• Give medication reminders and immunizations.
• Engage patients in exercises or other activities.
