Job summary

Right at Home Long Beach is hiring Caregivers and Home Health Aides to provide compassionate in-home care in Bellflower. Immediate part-time and full-time positions are available, offering the chance to help clients stay in the comfort of their own homes and to join a rapidly growing international home care company with 25+ years of experience.

Qualifications

• High school degree and/or a G.E.D. certificate.
• Registered as a California Home Care Aide.
• Current TB Test.
• State and Federal LiveScan (Fingerprinting).
• CPR Certification (recommended).
• Meets the requirements for employees providing direct patient care.
• Read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job.
• Have a valid driver’s license and vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Assist with transferring/moving the client within the home.
• Perform housekeeping tasks (vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, mopping, dishes, laundry, cleaning the bathroom).
• Prepare meals and snacks per instructions.
• Accompany client to errands or medical appointments.
• Assist with bathing/showering/dressing/shaving; medication reminders.
• Support range of motion exercises; provide dementia care.
• Offer companionship through reading, music, puzzles, etc.

Responsibilities and Duties:

In this role, you will have the chance to perform personal care activities that assist the client with activities of daily living, which include (but are not limited to):

• Assisting with transferring/moving client from place to place throughout their home
  • Performing housekeeping activities which include (but are not limited to): vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, doing laundry and cleaning the bathroom
