Job summary

LCFS is seeking a licensed Home Based Therapist (LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT) to provide therapy to children and families in their homes, schools, and communities. You will work independently in the community with support from a clinical team.

This role requires a Master’s in a mental health field and an active Indiana license (LCSW/LMHC/LMFT). A valid driver’s license is required for community-based service delivery across multiple counties.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a mental health-related field.
• Current Indiana license as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT.
• Minimum of 2 years of mental health treatment experience.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to provide services in community-based settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and family therapy in homes, schools, and community settings.
• Complete bio-psychosocial assessments and develop treatment plans.
• Help children and families strengthen relationships and develop skills.
• Assess and respond to crisis situations and suicide-risk concerns.
• Connect families with community resources and supportive services.
• Collaborate with referral sources, treatment teams, and community professionals.
• Participate in clinical supervision and required training.
• Maintain professional boundaries, confidentiality, and client privacy.
• Support discharge planning and continuity of care.
• Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation.

What You’ll Do

As a Home Based Therapist, you will:

• Provide individual and family therapy in homes, schools, and community settings using trauma-informed, person-centered, strengths-based, and culturally responsive practices
• Complete bio-psychosocial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
• Help children and families strengthen relationships, develop skills, and work toward greater stability
• Assess and respond appropriately to crisis situations and suicide-risk concerns, following established clinical and safety protocols
• Connect families with community resources and supportive services
• Collaborate with referral sources, treatment teams, and community professionals
• Participate in clinical supervision, case reviews, team consultation, and required training
• Maintain appropriate professional boundaries, confidentiality, and client privacy
• Support discharge planning and continuity of care
• Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation
• Maintain services and documentation in accordance with applicable licensing, contractual, accreditation, and LCFS requirements

What We're Looking For

Required:

• Master's degree in a mental health-related field
• Current Indiana license as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT
• Minimum of 2 years of mental health treatment experience
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability and willingness to provide services in community-based settings
