Job summary

Qualifications

• Must hold a current license as Social Worker, Clinical Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist, Mental Health Counselor, or related associate license.
• Temporary permit path for Social Worker, Clinical Social Worker, MFT, or Mental Health Counselor is allowed.
• Education must include relevant coursework in human growth, social foundations, group dynamics, and therapy techniques.

Education

Master’s degree with temporary permit issued by Indiana Behavioral Health and Human Services Licensing Board

Master’s degree in related human service field with employment by nationally accredited organization

Job description

The Master’s-Level Clinician provides time-limited, outcome-based therapeutic interventions to children and families in community or outpatient settings. Services are strength-based and focused on helping clients achieve identified treatment outcomes. The clinician must hold an appropriate master’s degree and all required certifications or credentials and is responsible for completing timely documentation that includes diagnostic impressions, interventions provided, and the client’s progress toward established outcomes.

Education/Experience:

Direct Worker:

1. 1. Master’s or Doctorate degree with a current license issued by the Indiana Behavioral Health and Human Services Licensing Board as one of the following: a) Social Worker; b) Clinical Social Worker; c) Marriage and Family Therapist; d) Mental Health Counselor; e) Marriage and Family Therapist Associate; f) Mental Health Counselor Associate
2. 2. Master’s degree with a temporary permit issues by the Indiana Behavioral Health and Human Services Licensing Board as one of the following: a) Social Worker b) Clinical Social Worker c) Marriage and Family Therapist d) Mental Health Counselor
3. 3. Master’s degree in a related human service field and employed by an organization that is nationally accredited by the Joint Commission, Council on Accreditation, or the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities.

That individual must also:

1. a) Complete a minimum of 24 post-secondary semester hours and 36 quarter hours in the following coursework:

   4. (4) Lifestyle and Career Development

   9. (9) Family Development and Family Therapy
   10. (10) Clinical/Psychiatric Social Work
   11. (11) Group Therapy
   12. (12) Psychotherapy
   13. (13) Counseling Theory and Practice
2. b) Individual must complete the Human Service Related Monthly Pay
