General Description:

With general direction from the Clinical Supervisor, the Master's Level Home-Based / Outpatient Clinician

provides clinical treatment, support, assistance, and case management to children, youths, and

families at risk and/or with a history of psychiatric or substance abuse disorder. The Home-Based

Clinician provides clinical services to clients and coordination support to the agency. The

Outpatient Clinician provides short-term and long-term psychotherapy for children, adolescents,

adults, couples, families, and groups with a wide range of issues and diagnoses. The Outpatient

Clinician provides clinical services to clients, including diagnostic evaluations, assessments, and

goal-oriented treatment plans. Clients will be self-referred or referred for services by DCF, DMH,

state agencies, schools, or other providers.

Please note this position is available on either a part-time or full-time basis.

Home-Based / Outpatient Clinical Responsibilities:

Be responsible for assessment, diagnostic formulation, treatment, and safety planning,

while providing oversight of service delivery to the child and family

Provide clinical case management and linkages to community supports, resources, and

opportunities.

Provide intensive family treatment and support interventions that assist the youth and

family to overcome challenges posed by behaviors associated with the youth's and family’s

condition.

Coordinate care with schools, service providers, and other entities that provide support to

assure that the approaches taken are integrated and clinically coherent.

Attend care plan meetings when appropriate; facilitate team meetings with collaterals and

attend case reviews as needed.

Ensure progress notes are completed within NLCWC’s mandated period.

Participate fully in all individual and group supervision meetings.

Submit a weekly work schedule to the Admin Staff

Attend internal supervision and mandated trainings scheduled by NLCWC, remain current

in the field to pursue professional growth development, and attend external trainings

necessary to support licensure.

Meet service expectations and deliverables set by providers, state agencies, and community

support.

Communicate with DCF and external providers when delivering services to families

referred by DCF for Family Support and Stabilization Services (FSS)

Establish collaborations with providers, state agencies, schools, and other community and

natural supports.

Adhere to NLCWC’s expectations and policy for Telecommuting Telehealth services.

Will include on-call rotation.

Will require working nights and weekends.

Other duties as needed.

Outpatient Clinical Responsibilities:

Meet all clinical expectations in delivering services to clients.

Provide assessments and diagnostic formulations within the NCLCs’ mandated period.

Ensure all clients have clinical treatment plans for the development and implementation of

clinical services in accordance with NLCWC’s policies and practices.

Complete clinical case documentation within NLCWC’s mandated period

Ensure clinical progress notes are completed within NLCWC’s mandated period.

Participate fully in all individual and group supervision and mandated trainings!

Skills And Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

Experience working with youth and families.

Knowledge about family engagement practices, family dynamics, and assessment and

community resources; knowledge of the service delivery systems such as DCF, DMH,

DYS, DDS, and the Court system

Ability to relate well to parents, youth, and other family members, as well as a range of

collaterals.

Bilingual language capabilities are a plus

Demonstrated cultural competency in working with youth families from diverse cultures

and ethnicity.

Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.

Excellent organizational and time management skills

Education and Experience

A master’s degree in human services or a related field is required.

Current MA Licensure: LCSW, LMHC, LICSW, a Plus but not Required

At least 12 months of prior work-related experience preferred.
