Job summary

The Champaign County Regional Planning Commission is seeking a Home Visitor to join our team. The role focuses on delivering developmentally appropriate home-based services and family support to families in Champaign County, aligning with Head Start standards and Illinois Learning Standards.

You will visit families weekly in their homes or chosen locations and conduct bi-monthly group activities for children and parents, using ongoing assessments to tailor services toward school readiness.

Qualifications

• Requires an Associate’s Degree or related credential.
• Must fulfill all DCFS requirements, including a physical, immunizations, and criminal background check.
• Must meet all childcare staff requirements as defined by the program.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement home-based developmentally appropriate child development and health services and family support.
• Serve each family weekly in their home or other family-chosen location and twice-a-month provide group experiences for enrolled children and their parents.
• Use ongoing assessments to ensure individualization for each child and progress toward school readiness.

Education

Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development and/or a Home-Based Child Development Associate credential
