Job summary

Abound Health is seeking Direct Support Professionals to provide care in Alternative Family Living settings in Asheville, NC. DSPs assist with daily living, community participation, and behavioral support in a home-based residential model.

This contract role emphasizes compassionate, relationship-based care, independence, and personal growth for individuals with IDD, with 24/7 support and ongoing training provided by Abound Health.

Qualifications

• Caregiving experience for individuals with IDD preferred.
• Ability to support daily living activities and routines.
• Ability to provide behavioral support and person-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, stable, and welcoming home environment for clients.
• Support daily living skills and healthy routines.
• Offer mentorship, companionship, and emotional support.
• Encourage community involvement and local outings.
• Assist client in staying active and engaged through activities.
• Collaborate with Abound Health to follow person-centered plans.
