The Buckeye Ranch is seeking an Intensive Home-Based Counselor/Social Worker to join our Community Based IHBT program. This role involves empowering youth and their families to overcome challenges that risk removal from their homes, providing various levels of mental health interventions to high-need clients in the community. Our comprehensive care addresses the impacts of trauma, mental illness, abuse, or neglect, helping clients overcome obstacles and build resilience for healthier, fulfilling lives.

Responsibilities
  • Identify trauma history, adversity, and toxic stress influencing clients' problems and family dynamics, assessing risk levels.
  • Recognize cultural factors affecting strengths and family interactions to tailor treatment approaches.
  • Adapt services using evidence-based, inter-professional team methods, respecting cultural norms and preferences.
  • Engage caregivers and key participants in active, change-oriented treatment, overcoming barriers to engagement, and referring for additional services as needed.
  • Participate in clinical supervision, team meetings, and bi-weekly group supervision, notifying supervisors of absences.
  • Schedule and conduct therapy sessions with individuals and families, adjusting timing to family availability, including evening hours.
  • Manage crisis situations, including suicide or violence threats, through direct intervention, assessment, and timely incident reporting.
  • Provide crisis intervention on call as assigned, maintaining consistency with the treatment model.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field; master’s preferred.
