Job summary

Criterium-Twin Cities Engineers is seeking an Engineer-in-Training close to professional licensure to evaluate existing residential and light-commercial buildings. Work from a home office with field assignments in the Twin Cities area under supervision of licensed P.E.s, developing reports and practical recommendations.

Eligible candidates pursue Minnesota P.E. licensure within 12–18 months, with a defined professional-development path and mentorship from experienced engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil, structural, or mechanical engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• Engineer-in-Training certification or FE examination completed.
• Intent to obtain Minnesota P.E. licensure within ~12–18 months.
• At least two years of relevant experience in structural, civil, construction, inspection, restoration, or related work.

Responsibilities

• Assist with and perform field assessments of existing residential and light-commercial buildings under supervision of a licensed P.E.
• Document site conditions with notes, photos, measurements, sketches, and observations.
• Prepare clear, photo-supported draft reports and repair recommendations for P.E. review.
• Support basic structural evaluation, calculations, and repair-detail development.
