Job summary

Bravas seeks a Lead Technician to own on-site installation, configuration, and servicing of security and smart home systems. The role requires coordinating with project teams, ensuring quality, and delivering premium experiences to residential and commercial clients.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in smart home or AV install, with proficiency across major platforms and a valid driver's license. Expect travel as needed.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in low voltage systems is a plus.
  • 3–5 years of experience in smart home, AV, or low-voltage security installation.
  • Proficiency with one or more platforms (e.g., Control4, Lutron, Savant, Alarm.com, Ring, Nest, Crestron, Hikvision).
  • Solid understanding of low-voltage wiring, networking basics, power management, and system configuration.
  • Experience reading schematics, floor plans, and system diagrams.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record; occasional travel.

Responsibilities

  • Leads and guides installation teams on job sites, ensuring clear communication and timelines.
  • Coordinates with project managers and designers to translate plans into installations.
  • Ensures all systems are installed to company standards.
  • Verifies work through final walk-throughs, documentation, and testing.
  • Maintains service logs and client signoffs for project closeout.
  • Identifies and resolves technical issues before they impact customers.
  • Prepares for each job by reviewing docs and planning installation approach.
  • Keeps job sites organized, clean, and safe.
  • Stays current on new technologies and product updates.
  • Shares insights to improve processes and tools.
  • Represent the brand with professionalism on every site.
  • Problem-solves on the fly for installation challenges.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

The Role

TheLeadTechnicianwill take ownership of on-site installation, configuration,andservicing ofinnovative securityand smart home systems.

Responsibilities
  • Leadsand guide installation teams on job sites, ensuring clearcommunication, shared understanding of tasks,andalignment withprojecttimelines.
  • Coordinates closely withprojectmanagers, programmers,and system designers to translate design plans into flawless installations.
  • Takesownership of thetechnical execution on-site:Ensuringall systems (security,access control, surveillance,automation,AV, etc.)are installed to company standards.
  • Verifies work quality throughfinal walk-throughs, documentation,and functional testing.
  • Maintainsaccuraterecords, service logs,and client signoffs to support successfulprojectcloseout.
  • Identifyand resolvetechnical or installation issues before theyimpactclient experience orprojectprogress.

Qualifications

  • Comfortable with ladders, power tools,and physically demanding work environments
  • Effective communicationandleadership skills
  • Certifications (CEDIA, ESA, Control4, Lutron, or equivalent)aplus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Valid driver's licenseand clean driving record
  • Occasional travelrequired

  • Prolonged periods of standing, stooping, or bending may berequired
  • Ability to lift toand carry 60 poundsas needed
  • Ability to work in tight spacesandat ladder height
  • Ability to work in varying environmental conditions
