Job summary

Colorado Doorways in Wyoming is seeking an experienced skilled trades professional to modify hollow metal doors and fabricate frames. You will support fabrication reports, resize doors, adjust hinge locations, and prime surfaces using water-based primer paint.

This hands-on role requires lifting up to 50 lbs and operating various power tools and welding equipment on a day shift. Responsibilities include handling doors, reading templates and elevations, and maintaining safety on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Ability to read fabrication orders, templates, and elevations.
• Proficient in reading a tape measure for precise cuts.
• Familiar with door and frame components and hardware applications.
• Experience welding and fabricating metal parts.
• Knowledge of CURRIES code charts.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Attend and be punctual to shifts.
• Modify hollow metal doors and frames per fabrication reports.
• Operate power hand tools and welding equipment safely.
• Prime finished doors with water-based primer.
• Transport doors and parts as needed using carts.
• Read and apply fabrication orders and elevations.
• Assist in handling doors and frames during installation prep.
• Maintain safety and professional standards on site.
