Job summary

Catholic Charities of Northeast Kansas is seeking a dedicated Workforce team member to provide wrap-around case management, career coaching and financial education through the St. Rita program in Lawrence, KS.

The role focuses on job readiness, soft skills, intensive case management, and referrals across CCNEK sites, with travel between locations required. Strong communication and data tracking are essential to support participants and program reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in social work, workforce development, human services, or comparable experience required
• Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to communicate and respect people from diverse backgrounds
• Must have competent oral and written English skills
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for local and regional travel
• Strong computer skills and proficient with Microsoft Office programs

Responsibilities

• Serve Lawrence by recruiting and receiving referrals for Workforce participants from internal programs and external partners
• Assess participant needs and provide consultation, support, and referrals to internal and external resources
• Develop individualized plans for employable adults identifying strengths, barriers and steps to educational and employment goals
• Maintain regular client contact and conduct occasional home visits to monitor progress
• Coordinate and facilitate job readiness and work ethics classes and related workshops
• Keep detailed records and report activities for internal and grant reporting and evaluation purposes
