Presbyterian Villages of Michigan is seeking a Wellness Program Assistant to support the operation and delivery of a holistic wellness program for residents, employees, and community members. Responsibilities include data collection, program development, and coordinating wellness activities.

The role emphasizes assisting with program implementation, documentation, and public relations, while maintaining an engaging environment focused on mind, body, and spirit.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in geriatric health and fitness preferred.
• Experience leading individual and group exercise classes (endurance, strength, flexibility).
• Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office and databases related to the role.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain records, reports and documentation on residents' participation and attendance.
• Motivate residents to attend wellness activities and programs.
• Assist residents with wellness activities and events, including transportation within and outside the Village (CDL with passenger endorsement required) and specific skills.
• Monitor and maintain inventory of wellness supplies.
• Maintain resident gift shop, crafts, or wellness projects.
• Assist in developing and publishing wellness announcements, newsletters, and advertising; manage public relations.
• Assist in planning events and calendars; support wellness programming.
• Create and facilitate a comprehensive wellness program addressing mind, body, and spirit.
• Promote the organization’s mission, vision, beliefs, values, goals, and Servant Leadership.
• Attend and participate in departmental and Village meetings, training, and development opportunities; foster cross-department collaboration.
• Follow policies and procedures including safety, employment, and regulatory requirements.
