Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Health, Kinesiology, or related field required.
• Master of Arts or Master of Science in Physical Education or Master of Education preferred.
• Teaching certification required or eligibility within the NAD system.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain upon hire.
• Commitment to Seventh-day Adventist education, lifestyle and faith community.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality physical education instruction aligned with curriculum standards for grades 9-12.
• Teach Physical Education, Health, and other subjects as needed.
• Develop engaging lesson plans addressing varied skill levels and learning styles.
• Assess student progress with performance assessments, tests, and assignments; provide feedback.
• Promote fitness, teamwork, sportsmanship, and healthy lifestyle habits.
• Ensure safety and proper use of equipment and facilities; maintain emergency readiness.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Health, Kinesiology, or related field

Master of Arts or Master of Science in Physical Education; Master of Education with Emphasis in Physical Education, preferred

Teaching certification (state or denominational) or NAD eligibility

CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

Commitment to Seventh-day Adventist education and faith community
