Job summary

Guardian Academy is seeking a Christ-centered Physical Education Teacher to join our Academy team. The role focuses on planning and leading PE for grades K-12, coaching athletics, and integrating biblical worldview into health and fitness education.

The candidate should demonstrate strong communication, organization, flexibility, and the ability to motivate students in a faith-filled environment, while maintaining safety and accountability across activities and classrooms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education or related field.
• Current Ohio teaching license or equivalent certification.
• One year of teaching experience preferred.
• Ability to pass background checks (BCI and FBI).

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead PE lessons for grades K-12 that develop physical fitness, sports skills, and health awareness.
• Assist and co-lead athletics for the academy.
• Maintain an inventory of PE supplies and communicate needs with administration.
• Plan activities and events that make exercise-based learning engaging.
• Supervise practical PE lessons in indoor and outdoor settings.
• Instruct Health classes for Middle School and High School.
• Model Christian character and foster a faith-based learning environment.
• Maintain attendance records and report incidents to ensure student safety.
