Now it's time to fully realise the full potential of our business and our people. We do this through our Win as One strategy. It puts our purpose - to deliver better everyday health with humanity - at the heart of everything we do. It unites us, inspires us, and challenges us to be better every day, driven by our agile, performance-focused culture.

About the Role

The Holistic Experience Transformation Scientist plays a key role in developing and optimizing consumer health products across Haleon's Wellness portfolio, with a focus on Vitamins, Minerals & Supplements (VMS) and Digestive Health.

This role is similar to an Application Technologist, bridging the gap between scientific discovery and product application by translating technical insights into practical, consumer-focused solutions. Working closely with formulation, product development, and consumer science teams, you will help optimize product experiences through ingredient selection, taste modulation, flavor optimization, product formats, and hands‑on experimentation.

This is a highly laboratory-based role with significant time spent at the bench designing and conducting experiments, evaluating prototype formulations, and identifying opportunities to improve taste, mouthfeel, and overall product acceptance. Areas of focus may include sweeteners, acids, flavor systems, bitterness suppression, and other taste-modifying technologies that enhance the consumer experience.

The ideal candidate is scientifically curious, enjoys hands‑on laboratory work, and is excited to learn how formulation and sensory principles can be applied to create superior consumer health products. Previous experience in sensory science is not required; on-the-job training and mentorship will be provided for candidates with strong scientific fundamentals and a willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct hands‑on laboratory experimentation to support product design, formulation optimization, and innovation projects across the Wellness portfolio.
  • Evaluate ingredients, sweeteners, acids, flavor systems, and taste‑modifying technologies to improve overall product experience and consumer acceptance.
  • Support taste modulation initiatives, including bitterness masking, sweetness optimization, and flavor balancing, through bench‑scale development and testing.
  • Partner with formulation, product development, and consumer science teams to translate technical findings into product improvements.
  • Analyze experimental results and provide recommendations to support future product innovation and optimization efforts.
  • Build expertise in sensory and product experience principles through on‑the‑job training, mentorship, and collaborative project work.
