Job summary

Bonita Villa Senior Living is seeking an Activities Director to create and oversee a stimulating, holistic activity program for residents, both inside and outside the community. You will assess resident needs, design adaptable plans, and lead engaging activities that meet spiritual, cultural, physical, intellectual, and social needs.

In this role, you will manage staff and volunteers, design monthly calendars, maintain an engaging environment, and ensure programs stay within approved budgets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• First Aid Certification required.
• 1-2 years of manager experience.
• Strong verbal and non-verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, organize, plan, implement and evaluate a well-rounded activity program.
• Assess residents’ needs and create adaptive activity plans.
• Design and post monthly bulletin boards and activities calendar.
• Lead large group activities (discussion groups, sing-alongs, exercise classes).
• Help manage the facilities volunteer program.
• Manage staff in day-to-day performance.
• Adhere to approved budgets.
