Job summary

The Salvation Army in Dallas, TX seeks a dedicated driver to operate non-DOT vans for Christmas Angel Tree and kettle programs. You will transport bell ringers and gifts between corps, warehouses, and designated worksites, ensuring safety and accountability at all times.

Responsibilities include route planning, vehicle upkeep, and adhering to the organization’s mission and professional standards while working outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of two years driving experience.
• Valid Texas Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Drives vans to transport bells ringers to kettle work sites and picks up bell ringers at designated work site back to Corps or Area Command locations.
• Drives vans or trucks (Non-DOT) to and from assigned locations to pick up gifts and take to the Christmas warehouse and/or Corps; organizes schedule pick-ups by most direct route to arrive at destinations according to schedule.
• Drives vans or trucks (Non-DOT) to homes, agencies, churches and any other designated location to pick up gifts, stockings, etc. for delivery to the Corps.
• Drives vans or trucks (Non-DOT) to and from Drive-thru and/or drop-off events at Malls or other assigned locations.
• Maintains cleanliness of truck and/or van inside and outside.
