Job summary

The role supports Tyson Pork Procurement programs and acts as a station relief buyer during training and vacations. A Bachelor's degree in animal science or agriculture is preferred; livestock experience is required; strong communication and basic computer skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have good verbal and written communication skills and communicate efficiently with drivers.

• Overnight travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Sort, count, weigh, tattoo and pen all animals in a hog yard environment.
• Learn Tyson Pork Procurement Programs, carcass merit, kill sheet information, weight docks and other buying procedures.
• Act as a station relief buyer in the absence of the manager for training and vacation relief.
