Job summary

Smithfield Foods is seeking an experienced Hog Receiving Automation (HRA) Coordinator to manage daily harvest line-up and ensure smooth, humane handling of livestock. You will coordinate receiving with harvest operations and monitor data accuracy throughout the process.

You will oversee USDA Ante Mortem inspections, resolve issues promptly, and train staff on HRA usage while supporting the Hog Barn Supervisor and Receiver team across shifts.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 2 years computer or data entry experience required.
• Desire to work around and with livestock.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong math skills are essential.
• Maintain active TQA and PQA certification.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the daily harvest line-up using the HRA application.
• Maintain accurate and consistent use of the HRA system during receiving.
• Coordinate between receiving and harvest operations for smooth flow.
• Ensure accurate counts, tattooing, and weights of incoming hogs.
• Oversee Ante Mortem Inspection process with USDA and address deficiencies.
• Identify issues with lots received and drive process improvements.
• Train and develop employees in HRA usage and cross-train backup staff.
• Support Hog Barn Supervisor and lead the Receiver team across shifts.
