Responsibilities
  • Provide individual and group therapeutic services in the inpatient level of care.
  • Collaborate as part of the interdisciplinary treatment team by reviewing assessment data, case management, intake, and other discipline data. Ensure treatment goals are appropriate, measurable, and achievable within the expected length of stay, updating plans as needed.
  • Conduct psychosocial assessments to determine suitable interventions and care plans, involving families for collateral information and discharge planning. Facilitate family meetings and communicate outcomes with the team.
  • Monitor and evaluate social services provided, perform peer chart audits to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Work cooperatively with staff to identify and resolve issues, improving patient care quality.
  • Maintain or exceed established clinical productivity standards.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and skills to provide age-appropriate care, understanding growth, development, and patient-specific needs.
Qualifications

Licensure: Professional Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapist, or Clinical Social Worker license issued by Wisconsin.

Education: Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field.

Experience: Typically 2 years in behavioral health therapy.

Skills & Abilities: Knowledge of behavioral health and substance abuse treatments, good communication skills, ability to operate in a complex mental health system. Some positions may require additional licenses such as Substance Abuse Counselor.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
  • Lift up to 25 lbs frequently; over 25 lbs occasionally with assistance.
  • Exposure to hazards like chemicals, blood, and body fluids.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, and restrain patients as needed.
