The Detroit Red Wings are seeking a full-time Data Engineer to support Hockey Operations data and infrastructure initiatives. The role reports to the Director of Statistical Analysis and focuses on data integrity, scalable pipelines, and integration across software tools and analytics.

Responsibilities include managing data consumption and storage, modernizing legacy pipelines, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve query performance and data availability for analyses and tools

Formación

• Understanding of modern data engineering and best practices.
• Expertise with large-scale relational databases, data modeling, and SQL.
• Experience building data warehouses for data science and analytics.
• Proficiency managing cloud environments (Azure, AWS) and high-performance pipelines.
• Experience using AI tools to refine and refactor pipelines.
• Familiarity with hockey analytics and sports data.

Responsabilidades

• Manage the consumption, storage, and maintenance of all hockey data.
• Design automated processes to ensure data integrity and query performance.
• Migrate/modernize legacy pipelines and build new ones to improve data integration.
• Oversee the integration of data into hockey analytics and software systems.
