Job Summary: The Head of Digital Workplace will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our digital workplace strategy. This role involves leading a team to drive continuous improvement in our digital tools and platforms, ensuring they align with business objectives and enhance the overall employee experience. You will work closely with other regional digital domains, European teams and external vendors to ensure our Digital workplace is reliable, secure, and scalable to meet our evolving business needs.
Strategy and Planning (15%): Develop and implement a digital workplace strategy that supports the company's business objectives in full alignment with the group strategy.
Digital Workplace Management (25%): Oversee and manage the entire digital workplace ecosystem from Google environment to end users devices and collaboration means. Monitor and optimize performance to ensure a smooth and efficient user experience. Engage with employees at all levels to understand their needs and challenges, ensuring that digital workplace solutions meet their requirements and enhance their experience.
Management (15%): Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of key digital workplace projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Lead a team of digital workplace specialists, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, supporting their professional development and ensuring high levels of performance.
Stakeholder Engagement (20%): Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally, to drive the adoption and success of digital workplace initiatives. Europe/Central relationship: Ensure full alignment with central stakeholders of each division to sustain daily operation, enable evolution of the regional infrastructure and contribute to local digital strategy. Service providers Management: Manage relationships with external vendors to ensure quality of service and products.
Budget and Cost Management (15%): Develop and manage the digital infrastructure budget, optimizing costs without compromising quality.
The scope includes all Digital Airbus Divisions and Domains within North America (US and Canada).
As a senior leader you will need to operate within the Airbus Global environment, building a global network, sharing best practices and experiences, reviewing and when necessary integrating Airbus Central policies to drive continual improvement throughout North America Digital.
5% Flexibility - Other duties as and when needed.
Education
Required Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology or equivalent relevant experience in lieu of degree.
ITIL Foundation
Experience
Required Deep understanding of modern workplace technologies and trends, including cloud services, collaboration platforms, and digital asset management.
Required Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
Required Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
Required Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels.
Required Minimum of 15+ years in Digital roles such as solution and infrastructure architecture, project management, business analysis, system design, software development.
Required Experience of Change Management where you have had to implement new practices within an organization.
License/Certifications
Preferred Project management certification e.g. PMP, SCM, or Safe
ITIL certifications preferred
Travel Required
Both domestic (within North America) and occasionally international to Europe.

Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities
Required Strong leadership experience in a transnational environment. This is key to successfully supporting the teams and ensuring alignment for deliveries according to plan.

Experience in operational management with short lead-times as well ability to set-up and implement strategies
Experience in transformation and continuous improvement
Strong Experience in Product Lifecycle Management
Communication Skills
Required Leadership experience of organisation beyond 50 team members
Fluency in English is mandatory
Strong interpersonal skills.
Solid writing and presentation skills.
Technical Systems Proficiency
Required Proficient in Digital Workplace technologies
Knowledge of Digital processes and tools: ITSM processes and specifically Enterprise Architecture, Project Management methodologies (Waterfall, Fast track, Agile, SAFe) Service Management, Resource Management, Budgeting, and Risk Management.
Environment Complexity
Highly complex environment composed of 3 divisional entities not yet integrated and spread out across the North America region on more than 23 sites, with coordination across Europe and India.
International environment with very different cultures and mind-sets.
Diverse company infrastructure requirements with highly complex products: commercial and military aircraft, commercial and military helicopters, satellites, launchers.
Digital Projects either own or support all business activities represented in the North America perimeter: Sales & Marketing, Customer Services, Spares, MRO, Training, Programs, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Logistics, Quality, Engineering, Corporate Functions (HR, Finance, Procurement, Communication, Legal, Facilities, etc.).

Direct Reports: 12 - Direct Reports; 40 - Contractors
There will be a need to expand the team to meet demand.
