Nationwide Children’s Hospital seeks a Lead Facilitator for its Healthy Neighborhoods Healthy Families program. The Healthy Neighborhoods Healthy Families (HNHF) Lead Facilitator creates, coordinates, and facilitates educational materials and professional activities that contribute to improving job readiness. The Lead Facilitator oversees all aspects of training from needs analysis to evaluations for instructor led training and computer-based training. The position will require mastering new technology quickly and the development of participants through continuous coaching.

• Oversees the job readiness training program through creation of materials, job coaching activities, real time feedback, and offering resources to participants for future use. • Applies knowledge of adult learning theory to design the most suitable training solutions for identified objectives. • Develops trainings and materials using industry standards and instructional design methodologies. Selects the appropriate training delivery methods such as classroom, eLearning, video, and tip sheets to develop and update programs to meet participants needs. • Facilitates classes using a variety of appropriate techniques, such as role playing, simulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos, and lectures. • Provides training evaluations to measure the effectiveness and makes improvements to training based on evaluation results. Focuses on soft skills, effective use of technology, embraces change, and looks for improvement opportunities. • Coordinates scheduling and enrollment of training classes, hiring events, job fairs, My Bridge 2 Success (MB2S) adult mentoring program, and workforce activities including, evaluating intakes and maintaining an active participant caseload. • Provides ongoing community visibility for workforce training initiatives, creatively disseminating information, assists in seeking new collaborative relationships, and identifies initiatives and resources for workforce participants to eliminate barriers to maintaining consistent employment.
Education Requirement: Bachelor’s Degree in business, human resources, instructional design, education or equivalent job-related experience in adult based training and development, preferred. Certifications: Recognized certification in a training specialization such as Microsoft Office, Epic or Instructional Design, preferred. Skills: • Skilled in developing computer-based training (“CBT”) using CBT applications such as Captivate, Camtasia, Adobe eLearning Suite, or Articulate. • Exceptional interpersonal, presentation, verbal, and written communication skills, required. Capable of presenting effectively to small and large audiences. • General knowledge of Learning Management Systems. • Strong PC skills, especially in Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint. Webex and Teams, preferred. • Ability to modify work schedules and practices to meet job requirements. • Must be able to multi-task by managing multiple projects with deliverables and deadlines by applying strong time management skills. • Ability to influence others and foster a positive, supportive environment.
