Focus Interpreting is seeking a proficient Hmong Simultaneous Interpreter to provide interpretation services for City Council meetings across the United States. This role will be crucial in ensuring that Hmong-speaking community members have access to and can engage in local governance effectively.

You will collaborate with City Council staff, provide real-time interpretation, uphold confidentiality, and adapt techniques to each meeting.

Qualifications

• Fluency in Hmong and English with strong oral communication.
• Experience in simultaneous interpretation, preferably in government or community settings.
• Ability to maintain accuracy under pressure during meetings.
• Understanding of cultural and political context of City Council proceedings.
