Job summary

oneworldglobalservices is seeking a HMONG–English interpreter for remote work from a home office. The role emphasizes accurate interpretation, quick processing, and adherence to protocol, with tools provided to support performance.

Candidates should have English and HMONG fluency, strong listening and note-taking skills, and be comfortable explaining cultural concepts to prevent miscommunication. Full-time remote shifts are available with ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of interpretation experience preferred but not required.
• Excellent listening, retention and note taking skills to maintain a high level of accuracy.
• Ability to explain certain cultural concepts with permission or at the request of the client.
• Quiet, secure home office environment required.

Responsibilities

• LANGUAGE: HMONG OPI/VRI Interpreter

  As a remote interpreter, you play a significant role in facilitating communication between Hmongand English speakers. The interpreter needs to be able to process information quickly and with accuracy in a professional manner. It is essential to ensure a quiet & secure environment. Note pads and writing utensils, glossaries, and dictionaries are useful tools.

  Candidate Qualifications:

• Fluency in English and HMONG
• Minimum 6months ofinterpretation experience preferred but not required.
• Excellent listening, retention and note taking skills to maintain a high level of accuracy.
• Render correct concepts and meanings according to the conventions of established interpretation protocol, avoiding omissions or additions.
• Ability to explain certain cultural concepts to avoid miscommunication with permission or at the request of the client.
