Position Details

Language: Hmong US-Based Interpreter

As a remote interpreter, you play a significant role in facilitating communication between HMONG and English speakers. The interpreter needs to process information quickly and accurately in a professional manner. A quiet and secure environment is essential. Note pads, writing utensils, glossaries, and dictionaries are useful tools.

Candidate Qualifications

• Fluency in English and HMONG
• Minimum 2-year interpretation experience preferred
• Excellent listening, retention, and note-taking skills to maintain high accuracy
• Ability to render correct concepts and meanings according to established interpretation protocols, avoiding omissions or additions
• Capability to explain cultural concepts to prevent miscommunication, with permission or at client request
