Hmong Chinese Language Document Reviewer

Employment Type: Full Time, Mid-Level

Department: Legal

As a CGS Hmong Chinese Document Reviewer, you will support various aspects of the company's litigation portfolio, including eDiscovery activities, workflow management, and litigation support. CGS seeks an experienced reviewer to join a fast-paced, active in-house legal team.

Skills and attributes for success:
  • Conduct research and draft responses for post-conviction motions.
  • Draft memorandums on legal questions for direct appeals and pretrial motions in federal criminal cases.
  • Examine, prepare, and process complex legal documents, review incoming materials, and assemble necessary legal documents such as motions, orders, subpoenas, etc.
  • Assist attorneys in preparing trial notebooks, jury instructions, witness, and exhibit lists, and produce discovery in accordance with rules and regulations.
  • Draft original letters requiring legal and administrative knowledge.
  • Produce various written documents using office software applications.
  • Maintain and organize legal files, search reference files, and assemble exhibits and legal documents.
  • Integrate outputs from different software types into documents.
Qualifications:
  • Three to five years of experience in litigation support, with strong communication skills.
  • Knowledge of federal and state court systems, legal research procedures, and resources.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; familiarity with legal research tools like LEXIS and Westlaw.
  • Hands-on experience with computer applications, including word processing, databases, spreadsheets, and imaging.
  • Familiarity with ESI tools and eDiscovery procedures.
  • Law Degree required.
