Job summary

Grace Pacific Corporation in Hawaii is seeking a loader operator to support asphalt plant operations. You will load materials, assist with maintenance, operate forklift and loaders, and follow safety policies.

This full-time role requires flexibility for overtime, weekends, nights or holidays in a busy plant environment. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, 2 years loader experience at an asphalt plant or similar, and membership in Operating Engineers Local 3.

Qualifications

• Ability to use hand and pneumatic tools.
• Able to operate forklift, skid steer loader, and wheel loader.
• Capable of lifting up to 100 pounds and performing physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Operate loader to move materials from stockpiles to plant hoppers.
• Assist daily and scheduled maintenance as required; perform repairs.
• Load customer trucks with materials as directed.
• Monitor plant and stockpiles for contaminants or problems.
• Communicate with plant operators, dispatchers, and management regularly.
• Follow safety policies and company regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Clean up and organize yard stockpiles using loader.

Job description

PRINCIPAL DUTIES

• 1. Operates loader to transport raw materials from stockpiles to asphalt plant hoppers.
• 2. Operates loader in daily cleanup of asphalt plant.
• 3. Assists asphalt plant personnel in daily and scheduled maintenance as required; performs repairs as required.
• 4. Operates loader to organize yard's stockpiles.
• 5. Operates and maintains high frequency screens at various locations.
• 6. Follows OSHA and GP safety, ethics, & regulations / policies.
• 7. Load customer trucks with various materials as directed.
• 8. Watch the plant and product piles for contaminated materials, oversize material, or problems with the plant.
• 9. Communicate with plant operators, dispatchers, & management on a regular basis.
• 10. Performs other duties as assigned.

PRINCIPAL REQUIREMENTS

1. High school graduate.
2. 2 years loader experience at an Asphalt plant or similar experience.
3. Must be a current member of Operating Engineers, Local 3
4. Ability to use hand and pneumatic tools.
5. Able to efficiently operate forklift, skid steer loader, and wheel loader.
6. Valid driver's license and favorable traffic abstract.
7. Ability to work overtime, weekends, nights or holidays as required.
8. Capable of multiple dexterities, climbing, crouching, crawling, lying under equipment and lifting or moving up to 100 pounds.
