Job summary

Lehigh Hanson Inc. is seeking a hands-on plant technician to help meet daily production goals by performing a wide range of plant operations.

You will assist with maintenance, greasing, oil checks, and site housekeeping to ensure smooth running of our asphalt operations. Your role includes operating equipment such as skid loaders and plant trucks, coordinating with contractors and drivers, and adhering to health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills.
• Solid mechanical skills to perform general maintenance.
• Ability to operate plant equipment.
• General knowledge of hot mix asphalt business and operation.
• Ability to learn basic welding and torch operation.

Responsibilities

• Meet daily production goals by understanding and performing all aspects of plant operations.
• Perform general plant maintenance and repairs.
• Conduct routine plant maintenance including greasing, oil level checks, and shoveling under conveyors and spillage areas.

Conditions of Employment

Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.

Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing.

• Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.

$20.00 - $25.00 per hour.
