Heidelberg Materials is seeking a Batch Plant Operator for our Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) operation at the Jordanville Quarry in Jordanville, NY.

What You'll Do:

As a Batch Plant Operator, you will be responsible for meeting daily production schedules at our Hot Mix Asphalt plant. You may also operate plant equipment such as dump trucks and skid steers, perform clerical work, and other duties as required. The ability to work at multiple locations is essential. Starting at $21.00 per hour, with frequent overtime!

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Basic computer skills
• Solid mechanical skills for general maintenance
• Ability to operate plant equipment
• Knowledge of hot mix asphalt operations
• Customer service skills
• Strong communication skills
• Willingness to work overtime, including Saturdays and night shifts
• Ability to learn welding and torch operation
• Physical requirements include: sitting, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, twisting, climbing, balancing, bending, kneeling, reaching, grasping, squatting, repetitive motions, and working in all weather conditions. Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 lbs., work in confined spaces, and wear PPE.
