Job summary

Ford Motor Company in the United States seeks a HLM Handles Core Engineer to design, develop, validate, and release handle mechanisms across vehicle closures. You will lead suppliers, ensure compliance to design rules, and manage manufacturing requirements throughout the life cycle.

You will drive cost and weight optimization, participate in design reviews, and develop system core documents while collaborating with cross-functional teams across North America.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of engineering experience in design, development, or launch of automotive mechanisms.
• Strong knowledge of plastics, molding processes and related CAEs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage HLM suppliers to meet cost, weight, quality, performance, and timing targets.
• Understand GPDS and deliver plans to meet deadlines.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to validate vehicle-level system interfaces.
