Job summary

The HLA Laboratory Scientist/ UKHC at the University of Kentucky will perform laboratory testing in a fast-paced academic medical center, supporting the Level I trauma center and transplant programs across KY.

This role focuses on high‑complexity immuno‑molecular testing, accurate reporting, and CAP/ASHI accreditation adherence, serving hematology/oncology and transplant services with state‑of‑the‑art instrumentation and exceptional quality standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in handling patient specimens and performing complex testing and analysis.
• Ability to organize/prioritize work assignments and work independently.
• Multitasking, computer skills, customer service, troubleshooting, attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory testing in a fast-paced academic medical center.
• Analyze and report results of high-complexity tests in Immuno-Molecular Pathology.
• Support hematology/oncology divisions and transplant services; ensure accuracy and timely reporting.
