Job summary

Prism Health North Texas is seeking a physician to provide quality management of primary care and HIV/AIDS patients within their specialty. The role includes performing exams, histories, and diagnoses, and using written protocols to ensure high-quality care.

The physician will educate patients and families, collaborate with management and staff, and participate in CQI projects and committees. Licensing, ongoing CME, and adherence to guidelines are required.

Qualifications

• Requires a high level of initiative and the ability to coordinate all aspects of medical care within the specialty.
• Creative problem solving and crisis management skills may be required.
• Must be proficient in primary care issues and sexually transmitted infections.

Responsibilities

• Perform screening, physical exams, histories, assessments and diagnoses using established protocols.
• Educate and act as a resource for primary care and HIV/AIDS patients and families for self-management and follow-up.
• Provide input for annual goals and objectives for the health center to support its mission.
• Assist with selection, training, supervision, and evaluation of clinical staff to ensure optimal service.
• Complete paperwork for private insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid eligibility as instructed by the Medical Director.
