Qualifications

• Accredited bachelor’s degree in chemical, physical, biological science, medical technology or clinical laboratory science.
• Successful completion of a NAACLS accredited Histotechnician or Histotechnologist program.
• HT(ASCP) certification preferred, with supervised histologic training.

Responsibilities

• Prepare tissue specimens for microscopic evaluation and staining.
• Process frozen sections and prepare slides for glass mounting.
• Maintain slide files by patient identifiers and diagnoses.
• Perform decalcification of bone specimens and bone marrow processing.
