Qualifications

• AA degree or equivalent required; BA preferred.
• 2–3 years of related experience in a high-complexity laboratory.
• Experience with tissue processing techniques: microtomy, slide preparation, H&E staining, IHC.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal laboratory regulations preferred.
• Licensure requirements may vary by location; NYS licensure may be required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain quality standards and promptly communicate issues affecting results or safety.
• Perform histology activities including microtomy, H&E staining, and immunohistochemistry.
• Train on workflow queues and support specimen workflow as needed.
• Prepare reagents, solutions, and controls; perform equipment maintenance.
• Interact with Pathologists and cross-functional teams to ensure timely processing.
• Assist with audits and participate in quality management and process improvements.
