Job summary

Tempus AI, Inc. is seeking a Histology Technician to prepare unstained and H&E slides from FFPE tissue blocks, operate microtomes and staining equipment, and ensure specimen integrity in the lab.

You will collaborate with pathologists and lab staff to maintain high-quality slide preparation and timely workflow. Responsibilities include processing frozen sections, tracking work in LIMS, and adhering to CAP regulations and SOPs.

Qualifications

• Previous histology experience required.
• CAP regulations knowledge preferred.
• SOPs and protocols experience.
• Laboratory safety and training demonstrated.

Responsibilities

• Prepare unstained and H&E slides from FFPE tissue blocks.
• Operate microtome, cryostat, stainer, coverslipper and tissue processors.
• Determine block orientation and knife angles for representative sections.
• Maintain specimen integrity and sample tracking in LIMS.
• Perform frozen section cuts for pathologists.
• Collaborate with pathologists and lab coordinators on slide quality.
