Job summary

Indiana University Health in Indianapolis is seeking a Histotechnologist to produce high quality tissue slides for diagnostic and research use.

The role requires completing embedding, cutting, H&E and special stains, plus immunohistochemistry; HTL certification is required.

You will work full-time days in the M-Pathology Lab and support patient confidentiality and quality assurance.

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree in Histology is preferred.
  • HTL certification through ASCP is required.
  • Proficiency in embedding, sectioning, routine H&E staining, and special stains.
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment and prepare reagents.

Responsibilities

  • Produces high quality microscopic slides of tissues while maintaining patient confidentiality.
  • Performs processing of specimens for diagnostic and research purposes.
  • Identifies tissue structure and cell components for diagnosis, prevention, or treatment.
  • Performs complex immunohistochemistry procedures to aid in diagnosis.
